Registration Fees

Non-EACH member: €500

Non-EACH member wishing to subscribe to the full membership for 2009*: € 525

Current EACH member renewing subscription for 2009*: €450

Student registration**: €325

Late registration surcharge for all registrations received after 18 July 2008: €75

* The registration fee for new and existing EACH members incorporates the membership fee to EACH for 2009, which includes a 2009 print and electronic subscription to the journal Patient Education and Counseling

** The student fee applies to students registered for a full-time higher degree and must be accompanied by a signed letter from your head of department attesting to student status. This rate is not applicable to post-doctoral students.

The registration fee includes:

  • Abstract book
  • Special issue of Patient Education and Counseling to be published after the conference
  • Mid session coffee/tea breaks
  • Lunch on each day of the conference
  • Drinks reception

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner will take place on Thursday, 4 September at Sporten, one of Oslo’s most impressive banqueting rooms a short distance outside the city. Sporten was built in 1896 in the traditional dragon style, originally for sporting trips along the surrounding mountain tracks. The evening will include entertainment with a local flavour.

This is an optional event and tickets must be booked in advance of the conference using the registration form. Tickets cost €50 per person, including coach transfers.

Payment

Registration fees are payable in advance of the Conference. In order to expedite the registration process, please complete the registration form with your credit card details. Confirmation of your credit card payment along with registration confirmation documents will be sent to you by (air)mail. If you do not receive confirmation of your registration 7 days prior to the event, please contact the Conference secretariat.

Alternative payment methods: Cheques should be made payable to Elsevier and should be sent with your completed registration form. In order to pay by bank transfer, you will first require an invoice. An invoice will be sent to you by airmail upon receipt of a signed registration form completed with your contact details and registration details. The reverse side of the invoice provides Elsevier bank account details for transfer purposes. Please do not transfer fees until you have received your invoice. It is essential that you include your invoice number when instructing your bank. Please forward a copy of the bank transfer documentation to the conference secretariat.

Cancellations

Substitutions may be made at any time but please advise the Conference Secretariat of a change of name. If you find it necessary to cancel the registration completely, please notify the Conference Secretariat immediately. Provided written notice is received by 25 July 2008, a full refund will be given less a 10% administration charge. Provided written notice is received by 15 August 2008, a 50% refund will be given. It is regretted for registrations cancelled after 15 August 2008, or for no-shows at the Conference, the full fee (100% cancellation charges) will be payable. In the unlikely event that Elsevier shall deem it necessary to cancel the Conference, all pre-paid registration fees will be reimbursed. Elsevier shall not be liable for reimbursing the cost of travel or accommodation arrangements made by individual delegates

Changes

Details are correct at the time of going to print. The organisers reserve the right to change any session in the final programme.
